Today, many companies have recognised that there is gain to be had, both in time-to-market and profitability, with employing standard communication solutions. The communication solution often defines the backbone that future products and functionality will rely upon. However, deciding on a communication solution for current and future products is a very challenging task since the communication backbone has a wide range of requirements, such as ease of use, performance, reliability, extendibility, and ease of maintenance. In this workshop we will get the possibility to gain insight in several different aspects of communication solutions from three world-leading companies. Ranging from solutions in industrial control, trucks, to solutions for remote control and monitoring of physical processes via mobile phones. Thus the objectives are:
