The CAL focuses on Scaleable multiprocessor Architecture for Real-Time Applications (SARA) and methods and tools for hardware design.

The strategy for CAL is based on the following:
- Providing students and industry with state-of-the-art competence

-
Performing excellent Technology Development Research Project
-
Providing excellent education for students, researchers and engineers.

The advancement of each of these is favored by applying the insights gained in the others. CAL has research activities the complete way, from ideas to real implementations in corporation with industry.

Open Positions

Ph.D. students (lic) (each number is one possible Ph.D. position, contact Lennart Lindh)

  1. Corporation with Vincent John Mooney http://www.ece.gatech.edu/users/mooney, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA 30332-0250, The project is aimed at real time kernals and "system on chip".
  2. Fault Tolerance in multiprocessor systems, Many real-time applications are safety-critical, and they must function at least partially under severe disturbance conditions. Reliability and a high degree of availability are crucial in meeting today’s business needs.
  3. Analyses of power dissipation in control designs for implementations in ASIC with VHDL.
  4. Models and Benchmarking of Multiprocessor Real-Time Systems

Research Fellow

We are looking for visiting researchers in the area of multiprocessor systems or hardware design, contact Lennart Lindh.
