Research interests [ Show full biography ] The main research area is on analog radio frequency (RF) integrated circuits, used in wireless communication systems. Several main sub-circuits in such systems are studied, where currently the attention is dedicated to design and analysis of the Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) for multi-band/standard radio applications. Aspects regarding phase noise, tuning range, power dissipation and amplitude issues are studied. Currently there is an ongoing close collaboration with the Technical University of Denmark (Oersted-DTU) on modelling of phase noise in several VCO structures, using bipolar and CMOS technologies. |
