NWPT 2011 venue

NWPT 2011 is organized at Mälardalen University (MDH), Sweden. It is one of Sweden’s largest institutes of higher education, with over 15,000 students studying approximately 60 programs and more than 800 courses. Mälardalen University is situated in the densely populated and expansive region around Lake Mälaren. Most of the University's students are taking courses at one of the two centrally situated campuses in Eskilstuna and Västerås. Education and research is conducted in engineering and science, the humanities, social science and the caring sciences. The University participates in many national research schools and offers postgraduate education in engineering. There is a focused effort to establish strong research also within the humanities/social- and the caring sciences. The University is environmentally certified and prioritises sustainable community development in all its activities.

Reaching the venue

NWPT 2011 venue i.e., MDH is centrally located in the city of Västerås. It can be reached about 20min by a leisure walk from train/bus station. Alternatively buses 10, 17, 19 from train/bus station reach MDH (also Mälardalen Högskola) around 7min. Tickets need to be purchased in advance from ticket machines or Pressbyran (coffee/book stalls) or also many other stores. Further information, in swedish, may be obtained here. A single journey in city bus costs 22 SEK.
