On the individual researcher level several of the participating researchers have leveraged on PROGRESS to advance their careers:

  • New Full Professors:
    • Mikael Sj÷din, Software Expert at CC-Systems AB and Researcher at MDH in 2005, was appointed Professor of Real-Time Systems at MDH in 2006.
    • Paul Pettersson, Senior Lecturer at Uppsala University in 2005, was recruited within PROGRESS and appointed Professor of Real-Time Systems Modelling and Verification at MDH in 2006.
    • Kristina Lundqvist, Associate Professor at MIT in Boston in 2005, was recruited within PROGRESS and appointed Professor in of Dependable Software Engineering at MDH in 2007.
    • Sasikumar Punnekkat, Senior Lecturer at MDH in 2005, was appointed Professor of Dependable Software Engineering at MDH in 2007.
    • Jakob Axelsson, Program manager, Research & Advanced Engineering of Electrical and Electronic Systems at Volvo Car Corporation and Adjunct Professor at MDH in 2005, was appointed Professor of Computer Science at MDH in 2010.
    • Thomas Nolte, PhD student at MDH in 2005, was appointed Docent at MDH in 2009 and Professor of Embedded Real-Time Systems at MDH in 2011.
  • New Adjunct and Guest Professors
    • Heinz Schmidt, Professor of Software Engineering at RMIT University Australia, was appointed Adjunct Professor of Software Engineering at MDH in 2006.
    • Magnus Larsson, Research Manager at ABB Corporate Research, was appointed Adjunct Professor of Software Engineering at MDH in 2009.
    • Tiberiu Seceleanu, Principal Scientist at ABB Corporate Research, was appointed Adjunct Professor of Software Engineering at MDH in 2011.
    • Iain Bate, Senior Lecturer at Univ. of York UK, was appointed Guest Professor of Dependable Software Systems in 2011.
    • Henrik Thane, CEO at SafetyIntegrity AB, was appointed Adjunct Professor of Dependable Systems in 2012.

    • Cristina Seceleanu, PhD at ┼bo Akademi 2005, was recruited as a Post Doctoral Researcher within PROGRESS in 2007, promoted to Researcher in 2008, and appointed Senior Lecturer in Computer Science at MDH in 2011.
    • Jan Carlson, PhD student at MDH in 2005, Researcher within from 2007, and appointed Senior Lecturer at MDH in 2010.
    • Radu Dobrin, PhD at MDH 2005, was recruited as a Researcher within PROGRESS in 2006, and appointed Senior Lecturer in Computer Science at MDH in 2011, where he is currently Head of the Software Engineering Division.
    • Dag Nystr÷m, PhD at MDH in 2005, then recruited as a Researcher within PROGRESS, and appointed Senior Lecturer in Computer Science at MDH in 2011, where he is currently Head of the Embedded Systems Division.
    • Daniel Sundmark, PhD student at MDH in 2005, PhD in 2008, was appointed Senior Lecturer at MDH in 2010.
