Biography  [ Show only research interests ]

Johan Lindhult is an Industrial PhD student at Ericsson. He received his M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from Mälardalen University in Västerås, Sweden (2002).

The primary motivation for our research is the fact that multicore architectures will become a de-facto standard in a near future, while at the same time, there are millions of lines of legacy event-based code, consisting of independent jobs (or tasks), in industry. Rewriting this code into explicitly parallel code would be extremely expensive. Thus, there is a need to investigate methods to migrate such code to parallel architectures with a minimum of rewriting.
